As an emergency room nurse with a solid ten years in the chaos game, I thought, “Why not bring some of that delightful chaos home?” Teaming up with my partner-in-adventure, Eric, who is a paramedic and fireman, we're blending our family of five while diving headfirst into the wild world of homesteading. We kicked things off with chickens and have since expanded our motley crew to include rabbits, pigs, farm cats, a horse, and even a litter of puppies—because why not add more fur to the mix? Life is a whirlwind of busyness and laughter, and we’re gearing up for our first garden this spring while perfecting our sourdough skills. Oh, and did I mention we're planning to add cows? With a mountain of projects ahead, we know everything takes time, so buckle up and join us on this crazy journey into the unknown!
